Most people don’t meet their soulmates in high school. But you only have to spend five minutes with Afton and Josiah to see that they are one of those rare perfect matches. It’s cliche but it’s true – when they look at each other, there’s a massive spark. And not only are they adorable together, but they’re also so funny and a joy to be around!
Going into their wedding day, I knew it would be very emotional and heartfelt, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bridal party or guests so excited just to see two people make it official. The support from their friends and family was felt strongly all day. At the reception, I stopped to chat with Afton’s mother and she told Megan and I the story of Afton and Josiah’s beginning and how happy she is that Afton is marrying such a kind and loving man. She and Afton danced to “Mama’s Song” by Carrie Underwood which couldn’t be more perfect and also caused more than a few tears from everyone at the reception. How can you hear this chorus and not cry your head off?
And he is good, so good
He treats your little girl like a real man should
He is good, so good, he makes promises he keeps
No he’s never gonna leave
So don’t you worry about me
Don’t you worry about me
I am so grateful and honored to have captured such a lovely couple tying the knot! Thank you to their wonderful vendors who made everything so beautiful and fun!
